Illecillewaet Manufacturing

When I drove by Illecillewaet a couple of years ago there didn’t sdeem to be

much left of the small town. I noticed that there appears, through the trees, to

be an industry of some sort next to the tracks.

MBC 2010

In the MBC 2010 I have conjured up a small manufacturing plant for Illecillewaet

that makes shipping pallets.

Lumber is supplied from the

mill at Revelstoke and off

loaded from flat cars at the

west end of the plant.

Pallets are loaded onto

center-beam flatcars at the

east end of the plant. From

there they make their way

both east and west on the

Canadian Pacific’s main line.
