Canadian Pacific Railway's Mountain
Subdivision: Field to Revelstoke
British Columbia, Canada 2010
The Canadian Pacific Railway's Mountain Subdivision: Field to Revelstoke
British Columbia, Canada (MBC 2010) was designed using Atlas of Canada
topographical maps, Google Maps and Google Earth.
The Mountain Subdivision is paralleled by the Trans-Canada Highway, which has
been photographed with Google Street View. So you can explore the route
through 360-degree “street-level” imagery. In places I have modeled the
highway. But for the most part I have left the highway out as the railway is not
visible from the highway, and thus the highway is not visible from the railway.
Trainz 2010
The Canadian Pacific Railway's Mountain Subdivision: Field to Revelstoke British
Columbia, Canada was designed for Trainz 2010 running in compatibility mode. It
is not compatible with Trainz 2010
except when run in compatibility
mode.
It may be possible to adapt the route
for Trainz Simulator 12 (TS 12) or
Trainz Mac. The main limitation,
other than the fact that I do not like
the look when it is ported over, is
that most of the locomotives and
rolling stock available in Trainz, and
prototypical for the year 2010, are not TS 12
or Trainz Mac compatible.
I refer to the route as “MBC 2010” not because it was developed in Trainz 2010
but to denote the fact that it has been created to reflect the Canadian Pacific
Railway's Mountain Subdivision in the year 2010.
